I
am sure that we all agree that growing older is inevitable but maintaining one’s
health is critical to enjoying life forever. In fact, the concept of maximizing a person’s longevity is
critical, but equally as important is the quality of one’s life as we age. Much
of our health is dependent on our physical, mental and emotional being.
Physical
activity promotes a trimmer you, but research has shown that it can also lead
to a longer life. In has been
known that individuals who work out on a regular basis usually experience less
risk for chronic diseases, heart surgery, cognitive/mental impairments and
premature death.
It
has been shown that those individuals that partake in intellectual activities
on a regular basis demonstrated better memory. Engaging in reading, writing, doing puzzles and attending
stimulating lectures all aid our cognitive skills.
Man
was not meant to be alone.
Loneliness can often lead to depression and other chronic health
conditions. As we age, strong relationship with both sexes usually results in
better health and well-being.
We invite our patients and friends to check our web site for upcoming workshops on health related topics.
